Radial Entertainment has announced a trio of international content deals, reinforcing its growing global ambitions across multiple genres and platforms. As revealed during Mipcom 2025, the company and its subsidiary FilmRise have acquired exclusive digital distribution rights to a 15-title library of romance and holiday films from Studio TF1 America, targeting audiences in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Latin America.
Additionally, Radial is expanding its international reach with two key series. Its original true-crime docuseries “Millionaire Murders,” produced by Phoenix Television and acquired from Sphere Abacus, will now be available in German-speaking territories. Meanwhile, the acclaimed historical drama “Medici,” licensed from Bruder Releasing Inc. (BRI) and starring Dustin Hoffman and Richard Madden, has secured new distribution in the U.K., Ireland, and Spain, complementing its previous availability in North America and the Caribbean.
Commenting on the strategy behind these new partnerships, Jonitha Keymoore, SVP of Content Acquisitions at Radial Entertainment, stated, “We’re constantly seeking compelling content that connects with audiences around the world. True crime and historical drama series continue to captivate viewers and we’re also seeing a growing demand for uplifting, feel-good films that offer hope and inspiration.”
Studio TF1 also highlighted the value of the partnership, with Anna Budashevskaya, Vice President, Sales, saying, “We’re absolutely thrilled to have concluded this deal with FilmRise and Radial. FilmRise’s strength in digital distribution makes them an ideal partner as we continue to expand our global footprint. We’re especially excited to bring our feel-good and ever-popular movies to audiences in German-speaking Europe and Latin America, where we see strong demand for this kind of uplifting content.”
Producer Jaimi West emphasized the broad appeal of Radial’s expanding true crime slate: “Our true-crime programs have universal appeal, showcasing a blend of intrigue and innovation. We are thrilled Radial Entertainment is extending the reach of this compelling series that we're incredibly proud of."
Marc Bruder of Bruder Releasing echoed the sentiment, saying, “Bruder Releasing, Inc. is proud to represent the hit series 'Medici.' We are excited to work with Radial Entertainment and FilmRise due to their leadership in our industry, and we look forward to bringing quality content to viewers around the world.”
Radial and FilmRise will now distribute “Millionaire Murders” (10 x 60) in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The series delves into high-profile cases involving wealthy victims, combining investigative journalism with high production value. “Medici” (24 x 60), originally produced in Italy, follows the rise of the powerful banking family during the Renaissance, with standout performances from Dustin Hoffman as Giovanni and Richard Madden as Cosimo.
Reel One’s collection of family-friendly romance and holiday films also expands the company’s offering in time for seasonal demand, further diversifying the FilmRise portfolio, which spans over 30,000 titles across AVOD, FAST, and SVOD platforms.
These acquisitions underscore Radial Entertainment’s strategic focus on high-performing genres with global appeal, supported by its robust multi-platform distribution model. Backed by Oaktree Capital and operating both the FilmRise and Shout! Studios brands, Radial is positioning itself as a formidable player in the international content market, with a catalog now exceeding 70,000 episodes and films.
