Radial Entertainment, the global entertainment company operating under the FilmRise and Shout! Studios brands, has acquired exclusive North American distribution rights for Gaumont’s Emmy-nominated gothic thriller "Hemlock Grove." The agreement, announced at Mipcom 2025 in Cannes by Jordan Fields, SVP of Content Acquisitions at Radial Entertainment, and Nicolas Atlan, President of Gaumont USA, includes all 33 episodes across the series’ three-season run.
Originally premiering on Netflix in 2013, "Hemlock Grove" was Gaumont Television USA’s breakout U.S. original and marked the television debut of horror filmmaker Eli Roth. Based on the best-selling novel by Brian McGreevy, the show explores the disturbing secrets of a small Pennsylvania town, featuring an ensemble cast led by Famke Janssen ("X-Men") and Bill Skarsgård ("It").
Radial’s acquisition covers all major formats, including AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, FAST, digital linear streaming, and broadcast. Jordan Fields stated, "‘Hemlock Grove’ was a boldly creative and ambitious gift to lovers of dark, long-form storytelling. We’re eager to bring it all back for fans old and new, who will have ample opportunity to watch it across our many distribution channels."
Nicolas Atlan added, "We’re delighted to partner with Radial on the distribution of one of our most popular series. With their rapidly expanding audience reach, this collaboration allows us to bring these shows to both longtime fans and a new generation of viewers."
The agreement was negotiated by Jordan Fields and Noah Wald on behalf of Radial Entertainment, and Gary Marenzi for Gaumont USA.
Radial Entertainment, backed by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, maintains one of the industry’s largest independent catalogs, with more than 70,000 titles spanning true crime, animation, cult classics, horror, and more. Meanwhile, Gaumont—celebrating 130 years in business—continues to drive global content through its diverse library and international presence, with operations in Paris, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Köln, and Rome.
