SBS Media Group partnered with Thema, a Group Canal+ subsidiary, to develop its international distribution and further the brand’s international presence. Under the terms of the deal, a catalogue of high-quality Korean dramas produced by SBS is now available for the distribution in a large number of countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa covered by Thema.
This recent partnership is already embodied by a first commercial deal with the leading media company in Romania, Antena TV. Premium SBS series such as “Taxi Driver,” “The Secret Life of My Secretary” or “The Fiery Priest” are now available on the OTT and SVOD platform AntenaPLAY.
SBS Media Group is the biggest private audiovisual company in South Korea. The company produces a wide catalogue of K-drama series which have already attracted large audiences in South Korea and in all across Asia Pacific. The media group produces a yearly volume of about 200 hours of series and the catalogue covers a large spectrum of genres such as action, crime, romantic comedies, period, and so much more. Among their international flagships series such as “The Heirs,” “Dr. Romantic,” or “Defendant,” many of them are already available on leading international VOD platforms all over the world.
