Sebastiano Lombardi
Sebastiano Lombardi, currently Director of Retequattro, has been appointed Deputy Director of Content, Development, and Innovation in Entertainment at Mediaset. In his new role, Lombardi will report directly to Massimo Porta, Head of Entertainment. The management of Retequattro is now entrusted to Giorgio Grignaffini, currently Editorial Director at Taodue, who will report directly to Giovanni Modina, Director of Programming and Scheduling at Mediaset.
Sebastiano Lombardi was born in Washington D.C. (USA) in 1970. He earned a degree in Modern Literature from the Catholic University of Milan. He worked in marketing at Rai from 1999 to 2003. Since 2004, he has been at Mediaset, initially as Head of Editorial Initiatives for Sport. Later, within Mediaset’s General Directorate of Information, he served first as Head of Product Development and then as Director of Operational Marketing. Since November 2014, he has been the Director of Retequattro.
Giorgio Grignaffini, on the other hand, was born in Parma in 1967. He graduated in Modern Literature from the Catholic University of Milan and in Philosophy from the University of Parma. He also obtained a DEA in Théorie du cinéma et de l'audiovisuel from La Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III). He joined Mediaset in 2002 as Head of Fiction Production for Canale 5. He later served as Deputy Director of Fiction at Mediaset and Editorial Director at Taodue Film (a Mediaset Group company). Alongside his professional career, he has been actively engaged in teaching and research at various academic institutions in Italy and abroad, focusing on semiotics and media theory.
