Secuoya Studios and Limonero Films seal an alliance for the international distribution of five projects from Secuoya Studios’ inscripted area. Specifically, this agreement brings together the feature-length documentary "Voices of a City", directed by Curro Sánchez Varela, and the documentary series "13 Days", "Race In", "Isaac & Nora" and "Proximity", productions directed by Alfredo Pérez de Albéniz.

“We are happy to announce this alliance with Limonero Films, a benchmark in the international distribution of high-quality factual programs and eclectic documentaries. This agreement confirms the commitment and clear objective of the studio to seal strategic alliances with the best partners in the audiovisual industry. Our stories are developed from scratch, with the intention of attracting audiences from all over the planet. 'Voices of a City', '13 Days', 'Race In', 'Isaac & Nora' and 'Proximity' more than fulfil that objective, providing a different perspective capable of dazzling a global audience, thanks to the talent of the best creatives and technical equipment. We are convinced that this exciting adventure together with Limonero Films will contribute to universalizing our premium content,” underlines Secuoya Studios.

Pamela Martínez Martínez, CEO of Limonero Films comments: “We have been following the development of the new documentary department at Secuoya Studios for some time. We were very impressed with the quality of the factual titles we had the opportunity to see earlier this year. Both the one offs, and the series are impeccably crafted, and are designed for an international audience. That's where we want to take them: to find the most enthusiastic audiences for each project. We are sure that they will be a global success, and we will do everything we can to make it happen. We hope this is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between our two companies.”

UNSCRIPTED PROJECTS
The gaze of Curro Sánchez Varela, Goya winner for "Paco de Lucía: The Search", permeates "Voices of a City", a feature-length documentary that uncovers stories of the present and the past of those who live, manage, undertake, build, and work in Madrid. This choral portrait that tours the city over the course of 24 hours through the testimonies and experiences of anonymous people and well-known faces has numerous and recognized awards, such as the Gold Star of the International Tourism Film and Multimedia Competition The Golden City Gate and the Terres Travel Festival-Films & Creativity 2022 award, in the Ethnography and Society category.

"13 Days", a documentary series by Hernán Zin successfully released on Netflix Spain, is the exciting story of the rescue of little Julen in January 2019, a unique story told through the moving testimonies of his parents, José and Victoria, and the volunteers who jumped in to help them. A three-episode documentary series that shows the lights and shadows of our society and redefines the true crime genre.

Franco-Korean siblings Isaac & Nora are a viral phenomenon. From their living room, these two teenagers have conquered the public with their sweet versions, which redefine and update some of the most iconic songs in Latin America. Throughout four episodes, "Isaac & Nora" accompanies the family on their first international tour with the Madame Vaudevil label. A journey, directed by Maximiliano González, to the center of Latin folklore and rhythms in an unforgettable tour with stops in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Madrid.

Alejandro Agag, Laia Sanz, Rodi Basso, Claudio Domenicali, Marta Margía, Jutta Kleinschmidt, Cal Crutchlow, Fonsi Nieto, Sito Pons, Jordi Torres, Sophie Horne and the sadly deceased Raül Torras are some of the protagonists of "Race In", a three-chapter documentary, narrated by Carlos Sainz, two-time World Rally Champion and 2020 Prince of Asturias Sports Award, about the great contemporary challenges facing the motor industry: sustainability, technological development, gender equality, integration and social responsibility.

"Proximity" is one of the last testimonies of the athlete Alex Villar before his tragic accident in May 2023. This documentary series of two episodes becomes a tribute to the Madrid instructor, who died in Punta Calva (Huesca) while practicing base jumping in its most extreme version: Wingsuit Proximity. This exceptional work directed by Carles Cabré follows in the footsteps of the skydiver in his latest challenges: emulating the legendary sports figure Valery Rozov and trying to repeat one of his most iconic jumps.
