Aiming to comply with the requests from the Portuguese speaking communities in Germany, SIC closed a new deal with Vodafone Germany to distribute the channels SIC International and SIC Noticias.

SIC International is a mirror of the Portuguese FTA broadcaster, with about 90% equal programming. Telenovelas and main shows air simultaneously in all territories to embrace the emigrant community into having the same viewing experience as those living in Portugal. In a year where daily news from trustworthy sources became more relevant than ever, the news channel SIC Noticias raised its audience and share, providing 24 hours of live news in Portuguese.

Both channels are leading their segments in Portugal and now those living in Germany can access their content and services, that allow features such as recording and instant restart, as well as second screen devices, once Vodafone launched their new international packages via IP.

The show is a journey between Portugal and South Africa that follows the story of a man who was arrested for a crime he did not commit and his fight to replace the truth and recover the love of his life.

Awarded with a Bronze Medal for “Best Telenovela” at New York Festivals 2018, “Μόλις Χθες” (local adaptation of the title) premiered on September 27 and is being aired Monday to Friday, at 6:45pm.
