Our mission at ZEE is to produce quality shows like this which have a universal appeal and serve the ever-growing market demand for exciting and engaging content.”

One of the projects the companies will work on under the deal includes "The Spice Trails: Latin America." The 12-part series, featuring 30 minutes per episode, is produced in 4k and travels through Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina.

“We are very excited to team up with Zee Entertainment to create a series like this, and we´re confident it will be delivered to its audience worldwide with the upmost quality and living up to the expectations we all have on the series as a production team," Eduardo Murguia, Executive Producer, TelevisaUnivision said.

A travel and food show, “The Spice Trails” will uncover the extraordinary spices unique to Latin America, while also showcasing the exquisite landmarks of these exotic countries, the vivacity of the fields and markets, and the spirit of the locals of the land that will add to the vibrancy of the series making it capable of entertaining audiences across the world. The series takes the viewer on a discovery of spices across verdant lands, understanding the influence of spices in the local culture, economy, cuisine & traditions. The way spices add flavor and taste to our food, this journey will similarly unravel the origin of these spices and lend a unique understanding of the land & its people.

“Even though we have produced many series before, Eduardo and I are particularly excited with this series," Carlos Murguia, Executive Producer, TelevisaUnivision said. "Spice Trails Latin America really captures the essence of Latin America from another very different angle: spices and its relevance in food, culture and so much more. We hope that this is just the beginning of many more co-productions to follow between ZEE and TelevisaUnivision."
