TelevisaUnivision’s ViX+ begins filming "Quiero Tu Vida"

The company has began the production process in Mexico City in collaboration with Salma Hayek Pinault's Ventanarosa.

TelevisaUnivision has began producing “Quiero Tu Vida”in Mexico City. The exclusive romantic fantasy feature will launch on Vix+. Produced by Salma Hayek Pinault and José Tamez under their Ventanarosa banner along with Jorge Garcia Castro, “Quiero Tu Vida” is directed by Jorge Colón based on a script by Tamez and Garcia Castro. The ViX+ Original Film will star Erick Elías, Zuria Vega, Bárbara de Regil, Jesús Zavala and Natalia Téllez. 

Serving as the first project under TelevisaUnivision’s recently announced first-look deal with Salma Hayek Pinault’s Ventanarosa Productions, the title will debut on ViX+. “I love soccer, and I’m excited to be part of a movie that takes place in that world. I am very excited to work again with my good friend Erick Elias and also with Jorge Colón as I made my first film with him. This story will resonate with audiences because, given the immediacy of social media, we always aspire to a different life. The grass is always greener, but this film reminds us to be grateful and value what we have,” added Zuria Vega, star of “Quiero Tu Vida.”

“Quiero Tu Vida” is a romantic fantasy feature about Nico, a young soccer player whose promising career comes to a sudden end when he suffers a devastating injury on the field. Eight years later, Nico turns into a bitter man who keeps fantasizing about what his life could have been. When the universe magically gives him an opportunity to live the life he always dreamed of, Nico learns that fame and glory can be deceitful and sometimes happiness comes in the most unexpected ways.

ViX offers two tiers of service, including a free advertising-supported product (AVOD) recently launched in the U.S., Mexico, and most Spanish-speaking countries, with more than 100 channels and more than 40,000 hours of video-on-demand content. ViX+, the service’s SVOD tier set to launch in the second half of 2022., will offer subscribers access to more premium content in Spanish than with any other service, with 10,000 hours of exclusive content and more than 50 original series and films in the first year.
