The Kitchen will be opening its first European media hub and the new Kitchen Spain this Friday, October 13, with an invitation-only Open House, taking place just prior to this year’s Mipcom Cannes market. Located in central Madrid, at Calle Zabaleta 15, Bajo Local (28002), executives and staff from the company’s Miami and Spain headquarters will be in attendance.

Five years ago, the studio introduced the company’s first European sales office, with Madrid playing a vital part in the location of what The Kitchen wanted to accomplish. With studios located throughout Europe and the Middle East, Madrid has proven to be the perfect centralized location to house its European operation, the company said.

Max Wynen, VP Global Operations, is responsible for the buildout of The Kitchen Spain and for the day-to-day activities for all of The Kitchen’s studio locations. Meanwhile, Alexis Cardenas continues to helm the company’s European sales offices as VP International Sales.

“Our team collectively fell in love with this location. It was a production-based studio in the past, and therefore it already had a lot of what we were looking for. We will be opening our doors with two dubbing suites and three mixing rooms, and will be ready for a TPN assessment from the on-set. The beauty of this facility is the tremendous room it has for growth. As needed, we can probably add at least ten additional dub/mix rooms and expand easily,”  Max Wynen commented.

The Kitchen’s headquarters in Miami will continue to provide hub services for the company’s studios in the United States and Latin American.
