Language dubbing, subtitling, and media services company The Kitchen has consolidated in Europe in the last three years. “We’re about to begin our fourth year, as The Kitchen’s centrally located European-based sales office,” explained Alexis Cardenas, VP International Sales for the group, and head of the Euro Sales office. “Our decision to situate our European sales efforts in Madrid, Spain three years ago, was a direct result of our rapid studio growth in territories worldwide and client needs in the region,” Cardenas continued.

With European studios now located in Spain; Italy; Germany; France; Moldova; Russia; MENA; Hungary; Turkey and Israel, the centralized Madrid location puts sales efforts in the same time zone, and within a short train, or plane ride away.

“There is no doubt that our relationships with our clients has grown and flourished due to our proximity to where they are located,” Alexis added. “In non-pandemic times, we were able to quickly reach out and call, or visit, with clients almost immediately.  The idea of being able to visit a studio in Istanbul, and then hop over to Greece to see a client, makes our efforts extremely productive”.

Even the studio’s locations in the Americas: Brazil; Argentina; Mexico and the US headquarters, have benefitted from the European producers, distributors, networks and studios, who are wanting global saturation of their programming.

“We feel refreshed, coming out of the pandemic, and are adding staff to our European sales office, due to the tremendous growth of the language localization business worldwide,” Cardenas added. “Viewers are more conscience of what they want to watch, and with so many programming choices, and greater competition on the screen and the internet, we predict tremendous growth and more expansion into additional European countries for The Kitchen in the very near future.”
