Rabbit Film's original format, "Ultimate Escape," has won the "Best Reality Format" prize at the International Format Awards. The show is an epic adventure reality format, where there are 24 Hours, 24 Clues, and 24 Calls to release a celebrity from a locked container. The original 9 x 60 series aired on Discovery+ and TV5 Finland in late 2021. Rabbit Films launched the format at the last Mipcom 2021.

“We are elated to have won our first ever International Format Award! Thanks so much to everyone who voted and who saw the beauty of this exciting format. Ultimate Escape is a Rabbit Films original creation, so all the credit goes to the amazing development and production teams,” Jonathan Tuovinen, Head of International of Rabbit Films, commented.

The International Format Awards is an annual ceremony that celebrates that year’s best format-based series worldwide. Categories include Best Gameshow, Best Factual Reality, and Best Scripted. The awards are a co-production between C21Media, FRAPA, the Entertainment Masterclass, and MipFormats.
