"Wounded Birds", the latest daily drama from executive producer Inci Gülen, creator of worldwide hit "ELIF" and distributed by Eccho Rights, was premiered on Caracol in Colombia on February 3rd to excellent results. The story about little orphan Omer and his adopted sister Meryem started with a share above 30% during its first week, becoming the best rated program in its time slot in the afternoon.

Titled "Omer, Sueños Robados", the drama has marked the first launch in the territory. "Wounded Birds" had also been presold to Puerto Rico where it has not yet been broadcasted.

“The success of 'Elif' was unprecedented. It has turned into one of the most sold Turkish series. Which is especially impressive considering it has over 1000 episodes and almost all territories have acquired the full run. We are convinced that audiences that fell in love with 'Elif' will be equally charmed by 'Wounded Birds' and we will see many more successful launches in the territory soon”, says Fredrik af Malmborg, Managing Director at Eccho Rights.

“We are very excited to have the possibility to bring this moving and emotional story to our audiences. The results of the first week have been splendid and we are delighted to offer this series as successor to the fans of Elif”, says Marcela Montoya, Director of Programming and Acquisitions at Caracol.
