ZAG, Mediawan Kids & Family, and The Breteau Foundation join forces to launch a Miraculous' special episode in order to raise the awareness among young audiences about plastic pollution. In the episode Action, which will have its premiere on TF1 and Disney Channel on September 17th, and worldwide on Disney Channel and YouTube, Marinette, Adrien, and their friends actively fight plastic pollution in Paris.

Developed in collaboration with The Breteau Foundation, this unprecedented episode forms part of an educational initiative called the Plastic Changemakers program developed by The Breteau Foundation for teachers worldwide. The program consists of 5 modules, all supported by the heroes from the Miraculous series, and aims to inspire over 1 million children around the world to become ambassadors for change in the fight against plastic.

The TV series "Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir" garners record-breaking audiences in over 120 countries around the world on premium broadcast outlets including Disney Channel in Europe and the U.S. and TF1 in France. The series often ranks in the number #1 spot with channel partners. The superheroes also attract a substantial fan community, especially in the digital realm (36 billion cumulative views on YouTube, and over 5.5 million subscribers on TikTok).

“We are sensitive to ecology and environmental protection through the actions we plan to launch shortly within our future foundation ZAG Forest. In this context, it seemed obvious to us to participate in the initiative of The Breteau Foundation and to put our heroes at the service of this cause. Ladybug and Cat Noir are the best ambassadors of tomorrow’s issues and will be able to accompany children in their ability to create a better world. As the old saying goes, we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”, says Jeremy Zag, Founder and CEO, ZAG.

"We are thrilled to partner with The Breteau Foundation and our long-standing partner ZAG on a unique and impactful project. Raising awareness among the younger generation about environmental issues is an absolute necessity. The Miraculous universe provides an ideal platform to raise awareness among young audiences and their families about environmental themes", says Julien Borde, President of Mediawan Kids & Family.

“We are extremely excited for children around the world to embark on their journey to become Plastic Changemakers ambassadors alongside their favourite characters from 'Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir'. We know from our international experience in education that children are concerned about plastic pollution and their future planet. Through our Plastic Changemakers Education Pack and Action episode, we will help children to become ambassadors for responsible plastic use in their homes and local communities through fun, engaging, and accessible content,” says Sebastien Breteau, Founder.
