ZDF LAUNCHES “THE MYSTERY OF THE TROJAN HORSE”

The film, based on the legend of a 3,000-year-old horse, was produced by Gruppe 5 and GA&A Productions for ZDF, in collaboration with ARTE and ZDF.

ZDF announced the completion of “The Mystery of The Trojan Horse.” The new 50-minute documentary will be released soon. The film was produced by Gruppe 5 and GA&A Productions for ZDF, in collaboration with ARTE and ZDF. 

The history titles cover the myth of a 3,000-year-old horse. The legend will potentially have to be rewritten following new innovative findings. “The team of archaeologists and classicists involved in the production, have come up with some fascinating discoveries and insights that will have viewers captivated throughout,” Ralf Rueckauer, Vice-President ZDFE. unscripted, ZDF Enterprises, said.

“The Mystery of the Trojan Horse” showcases the large wooden horse with Greek soldiers, along with facts and interpretations from an underwater archaeologist Francesco Tiboni and Professor Winfried Held, who specializes in Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon, and Harun Özdaş, a specialist in nautical archaeology. 

Contributions will also be made by Dr. Boris Dunsch, a lecturer in classical philology, Osman Erkurt, archaeologist and shipbuilder, and engineering lecturer Professor Thomas Chondros from the University of Patras. Set to capture the falling of the city of Troy, filmmakers follow Tiboni on a journey into the depths of the Mediterranean, where he ultimately finds convincing clues that help him solve this ancient mystery.
