ZDF Studios has secured the worldwide distribution rights for "Hitler’s Power." “'Hitler’s Power' is very much a modern look at this period of German history, designed for a young audience that is disconnected from the generation who experienced the war or its aftermath," Ralf Rückauer, Vice President Unscripted, ZDF Studios said.
The documentary is produced by three production companies, Hamburg’s Eco Media, which specializes in unscripted content, history and science film and TV experts, History media and ZDF Studios subsidiary ZDF Digital. "With the extensive research undertaken and its high production values, the series offers a distinctive and compelling narrative on the rise of Hitler," Rückauer said.
"Hiter's Power" is an in-depth exploration of how and why Hitler rose to power and the terrible events that followed. The series looks into why Hitler was confident of the approval of most Germans, even when the war was clearly lost, and what led Germans to support the Holocaust after the Nazi leader came to power in Germany in 30 January, 1933.
The three-part documentary features never-seen-before images, new personal testimonies, historical film footage and analysis from renowned experts. With archive film footage, imagery, documents, personal stories from the early days of the Nazis, graphics and interviews with leading historians, Hitler’s Power sheds a revealing light on the relationship between the leader and the people.
