AMAZON TO PREMIERE FREMANTLE’S “WE CHILDREN FROM BAHNHOF ZOO”

The adaption, produced by The Constantin Television and Amazon Studios, will premier in over 40 countries. It will become available on the streaming platform in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, and Benelux on 9th April.

Fremantle announced a series of sales, including that of streamer Amazon Prime Video, which will debut high-end TV series adaption, "We Children from Bahnhof Zoo" in over 40 countries and territories worldwide.

The series was produced by Constantin Television/Amazon Studios, and co-produced by Wilma Film in Czech Republic and Cattleya in Italy. It will be available on Prime Video in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, and Beneluxon on 9th April. Prime members in Italy can look forward to the launch of the series on May 7th. Following several further deals by Fremantle, several other international partners including HBO Europe, Viaplay and Nordic Entertainment Group in Poland and Baltics, Cosmote TV in Greece, More TV in Russia and CIS, and bluTV in Turkey have also boarded the series.

Created by Philipp Kadelbach, Annette Hess, Sophie von Uslar, and Oliver Berben, "We Children from Bahnhof Zoo" is directed by International Emmy Award winner Philipp Kadelbach and produced by Oliver Berben and Sophie von Uslar for Constantin Television with Annette Hess as Head Writer and Creative Producer. Following the launch in German-speaking territories in February the series has garnered alot of acclaim. The book has sold five million copies worldwide in more than 20 languages. 

We Children from Bahnhof Zoo is a broader, serial re-imagining of the best-selling autobiography Christiane F. that also inspired the cult film of the same name. "We Children from Bahnhof Zoo "was financed by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB), Filmfernsehfonds Bayern (FFF), Creative Europe-Media Programme of the European Union, German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF) and the Film Incentive Programme of the Czech State Fund for the Support and Development of Czech Cinematography.
