Globoplay announced a partnership with Discovery+ to offer a combo with the new service as of November 17. The combo with the two services will allow consumers to have access to the best of national production with Globoplay, combined with extensive Discovery+ content, streaming dedicated to real life. As of Thursday, whoever accesses the dedicated page will be able to pre-register to be among the first to subscribe to the combo.
“The Discovery group is one of the largest content producers in the world, and stands out in segments such as reality shows, nature, gastronomy, decoration and kids, with brands and programs that are leaders in their segments. The arrival of these contents to streaming allows us to make a combined offer with Globoplay, the leader in Brazilian original productions, and offer consumers a combo with complementary products at a generous discount,” said Erick Brêtas, Director of Digital Products and Services at Globo.

The Globoplay - Discovery+ combo will cost BRL 34.90. Existing Globoplay subscribers who acquired the service on the website will be able to upgrade their plans. Those who do not yet have a subscription to Globoplay will be able to buy the combo. Subscribers of combos with Globoplay, Globoplay+ live channels or who acquired these products through a channel other than the internet will be able to add Discovery+.
Globoplay offers consumers original projects, such as the first soap opera made for streaming, “Secret Truths II” - which recently had its premiere on the platform -, as well as classic plots, films, series and documentaries that bring together all of Globo's content from Brazilian independent productions and international studios. With the partnership, subscribers who opt for the combo will also have access to Discovery+ content, with shows such as “A Perfect Planet,” from BBC; children's content such as “Mundo Curiozoo,” “Ba Da Bean”; and all seasons of “Peppa Pig”; besides franchises already known to Brazilians such as “Brothers to the Work” and “90 Days to Marry”.
