Netflix announced a second season of "Nobody Wants This" for next fall

The second season of "Nobody Wants This" will premiere on Netflix on October 23, 2025. Produced by Erin Foster and executive produced by her sister Sara Foster, the series is a Netflix Original created under their banner in collaboration with the streamer. Following its breakout first season, the romantic dramedy is back with a fresh batch of episodes—and some exciting new cast members.

Fans were given the news during a live event at Netflix’s FYSEE LA Television Academy showcase, where the cast of Season 1 reunited on stage. Cameras have now wrapped on Season 2, putting the show on track for its fall release. The series stars Kristen Bell as Joanne, a fiercely opinionated podcaster, and Adam Brody as Noah, a kindhearted rabbi. Their unlikely relationship in Season 1 struck a chord with audiences and critics alike, earning both leads nominations at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and Critics Choice Awards—Brody won the latter.

Joining the returning cast this season is Leighton Meester, reuniting with Bell after previously working together (indirectly) on Gossip Girl, where Bell famously voiced the titular narrator. Also coming on board are Miles Fowler (Bottoms), Alex Karpovsky (Girls), and Arian Moayed (Succession, Inventing Anna). They’ll appear alongside familiar faces like Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons, who play Joanne and Noah’s chaotic siblings. Season 2 promises to dive deeper into Joanne and Noah’s evolving relationship while introducing new dynamics that challenge their already unconventional love story.
