"Shades"
SkyShowtime hosted the world premiere of its new Spanish original series "Shades" ("Matices"), with an exclusive screening of the first two episodes of this intriguing psychological thriller. The eight-part series will be available to stream from 5 June on SkyShowtime.
The eight-episode series is produced by Secuoya Studios and Stellarmedia in association with SkyShowtime, from an original idea by Javier Naya, Alex Meriweather and Sergio Cánovas, directed and executive produced by himself along with María García-Castrillón.
The cast, headed by Maxi Iglesias, Juana Acosta, Fariba Sheikhan, Enrique Arce, Raúl Prieto, Miriam Giovanelli, Hovik Keuchkerian, Eusebio Poncela, Luis Tosar, Alfonso Bassave, Luisa Mayol and Elsa Pataky joined series creators Sergio Cánovas, Álex Meriweather and Javier Naya at the event.
The title tells the story of a renowned and charismatic psychiatrist who gathers six of his patients together at a remote winery to complete their treatment with his famous method, which has achieved a very high cure rate among the most complex and difficult-to-manage patients. After an unusual ceremonial tasting, an unexpected turn of events occurs with a fateful ending. Following the arrival of an intuitive police lieutenant who takes over the case, the truth is uncovered about the patients’ traumas.
