Fox Entertainment’s streaming platform Tubi has revealed that it has expanded its linear FAST offering to now feature over 200 live sports, entertainment and local and national news channels. This news follows recent additions including a FIFA World Cup FAST channel, Gordon Ramsay, The Masked Singer, Vice, and TMZ (a brand within the Fox stable). The platform has also started investing in original content.
“In just two short years, our FAST channel offering has evolved into a robust and popular pipeline of viewing options across news, sports and entertainment. We’re excited to continue delivering a best-in-class streaming experience that combines our massive on-demand library with a large ‘lean-back’ curation of linear channels,” commented Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer at Tubi.
Acquired by Fox Entertainment in 2020 for US$440 million, Tubi is part of a major transformation at the company. The AVOD/FAST platform will have a strong presence at next week’s Mipcom Cannes, where its CEO, Rob Wade, will lay out the stramer’s international strategy.
