From Tuesday, January 21 to Thursday 23, a new edition of NATPE Miami, one of the world's leading entertainment content markets, will be held at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, Florida. This year, the conference celebrates its tenth year anniversary.

Characterized for being the first big market of the year, NATPE Miami Marketplace + Conference is presented as the perfect opportunity for buyers and distributors looking for the best content, with fresh ideas from domestic and international producers. “NATPE is where you meet the people you need to know,”  the event says in its website.

This year, the convention expects to receive more than 400 exhibiting companies, from more than 70 countries. In total, there will be eight international pavilions where companies from the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, China and Turkey will agglomerate. To NATPE Miami 2020 will also be attending acquisition and development executives of industry-leading companies, platforms and distributors, such as A+E, BBC Studios, CBC, CW, Discovery Channel, Facebook, Freemantle, Food Network, HGTV, ITV, Lifetime, Viacom, NBCUniversal, Oxygen, TF1, and WEtv, among many others.

As a novelty this year, NATPE will dedicate one day of its agenda to all aspects of the unscripted programming, underlining the event’s further commitment to that area of the international content industry. This session will take place on the first day of the event.

On the other hand, NATPE's already traditional Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Awards, which this year celebrate its 17th edition, will be given to award-winning actress Christine Baranski; ABC Entertainment President, Karey Burke; prolific television creator, producer and writer Courtney A. Kemp; President of NBCUniversal’s Telemundo Global Studios, Marcos Santana; and Chairman of WarnerMedia News and Sports & President of CNN Worldwide, Jeff Zucker. Named in honor of Brandon Tartikoff, one of television’s greatest programmers, the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Awards were created to recognize an exceptional ensemble of professionals who exhibit extraordinary passion, leadership, independence and vision in content programming. The ceremony benefits the NATPE Educational Foundation, with a portion going to the Broadcasters Federation of America (BFOA).

Another outstanding award ceremony will be the one of the Iris Awards, which were created to recognize best-in-class executives, program producers, creators, talent and importantly content that makes a significant impact on the industry and the culture. In 2020, the organization will once again honor a select group that demonstrated its excellence in the world of media industry.

Moreover, the event will be full of conferences, panels and keynotes. Some prominent speakers will be Brandi Rhodes (All Elite Wrestling), Soumya Sriraman (Britbox), Marcos Santana (Telemundo Global Studios), Armando Nuñez (CBS Global Distribution Group), Louise Pedersen (All3Media International), Kerim Emrah Turna (Kanal D International ), and Valerie Creighton (Canada Media Fund), among others.
