"Scarygirl"
Pink Parrot Media (PPM) is expanding its distribution catalogue and heads to the American Film Market with two new titles available to buyers. Signing with award-winning TV and film producer Sophie Byrne, PPM acquired the international distribution rights to the CG animated feature film "Scarygirl" which is currently in production in Queensland and is expected to premiere in October 2023. In addition, PPM has signed with PVP Media from Canada and Capitán Araña and 3Doubles Producciones from Spain, to represent the world-wide distribution rights for the animated feature, "4 Days Before Christmas", which is set for a Spanish premiere in December 2023.

With a voice cast headlined by Sam Neill ("Jurassic Park"), Jillian Nguyen ("Clickbait"), Rob Collins ("Cleverman") and Anna Torv (Fringe), "Scarygirl" follows Arkie (Nguyen), a young girl with a talent for technology and a tentacle-like arm, who was raised in secret by her kind but cautious father, Blister (Collins), a rare Giant Octopus with the ability to regenerate life. The film is a co-pro between Aussie studios Highly Spirited and Like a Photon Creative, with financial support from Screen Queensland.
With Harland Williams ("Puppy Dog Pals") Colm Feore ("The Umbrella Academy") and Millie Davis ("Odd Squad") set as voice cast," 4 Days Before Christmas" (1x88 min.) is currently in production and tells a story of when Santa hits his head and thinks he’s Superklaus, a popular big screen superhero, he gets scammed by a toy-obsessed businessman who wants to take over his workshop. The animated film is directed by Steven Majaury, with Miguel Miranda co-directing.
