Globo will be present in the first edition of Content Americas, an event centered around the audiovisual industry of Latin America and the United States. The brand will launch to the international market the telenovela ‘The Path’ and the second season of ‘We Are Five’, a Globoplay Original.

“We know the strength the Brazilian plots have in the Americas, especially with the telenovelas, because we have stories that connect with the audience and to which different types of public can relate. It’s something we’ve achieved with the diversity in our portfolio, which also has series and content for kids. Events like Content Americas are opportunities to take our products and formats to the audiovisual market, besides keeping our relationships with old clients and start the conversations for new strategic partnerships,” says Angela Colla, Head of International Business at Globo.

With a truly diverse portfolio, Globo also presents the telenovela ‘Keep the Faith (working title)’ and will take children’s productions to the event, like ‘Anittinha’s Club’ and ‘B.B.D. - Blue Building Detectives’, besides working with scripted and unscripted formats and the hits ‘Pantanal’, ‘A Trick of Fate’ and ‘In Your Place’, among other works.

Written by Gloria Perez, the writer of great hits like ‘The Clone’ and ‘India: A Love Story’ - that also won the International Emmy for Best Telenovela in 2009 - “The Path” is a story that tells humane dramas, with victories and failures. Currently being broadcasted in Brazil during prime time, the telenovela is directed by Mauro Mendonça Filho (‘Hidden Truths’) and stared by Chay Suede (‘A Mother’s Love’), Romulo Estrela (‘A Life Worth Living’) and Lucy Alves (‘A Mother’s Love’).

Written by Rosane Svartman (‘A Life Worth Living’) and directed by Paulo Silvestrini, ‘Keep the Faith (working title)’ is expected to debut in Brazil in January. With Sheron Menezzes (‘A Life Worth Living’), José Loreto (‘Pantanal’) and Emílio Dantas (‘Under Pressure’), the telenovela tells a modern story filled with romance, humor and a message of hope and faith in life.

Another highlight in Content Americas are the Globoplay Originals titles, with formats designed and developed to be ready for streaming. Among them, the new season of ‘We Are Five’, that follows the lives of the friends Benê (Daphne Bozaski), Ellen (Heslaine Vieira), Keyla (Gabriela Medvedovski), Lica (Manoela Aliperti) and Tina (Ana Hikari) and discusses themes like social inequality, racism, sexuality, and religion.
