Content London 2024 has announced Marianne Furevold-Boland of Norway’s NRK, Frank Seyberth of Germany’s ZDF and Jarmo Lampela of Finland’s YLE are the latest scripted commissioners to join the line-up Content London. The event will take place from December 3 to 5 across several venues in Kings Cross. Across the week, scripted and unscripted commissioners and buyers from broadcasters, channels and platforms collaborating internationally will discuss their active content and acquisitions strategies, as well as new opportunities for international coproduction partnerships.
Marianne Furevold-Boland, Head of drama, NRK, is a veteran of Norwegian pubcaster NRK with a diverse background as a producer, script doctor, writer, journalist and presenter, on both television and radio. Her portfolio as an executive producer includes series such as "So Long Marianne," "Powerplay," "Exit," "State of Happiness," "For Life" and "I Am Earth." As producer of NRK’s teen drama Skam, she played a role in the creation of a global phenomenon and continues to oversee the various international remakes of the show that still engage audiences in multiple countries.
Frank Seyberth, Head of coproduction, international fiction, ZDF, has been working within German pubcaster ZDF in several positions since 2001. He started as a commissioning editor for emerging talent, followed by leading a development team. As an executive producer, he has credits on international shows such as "The Bridge," "Trapped," "Slöborn," "Around the World in 80 Days" and "The Three Musketeers." Since 2019, he has led the editorial team that oversees and commissions international coproductions for all slots and channels at ZDF. This constantly growing slate features broad variety in genre, format and partner constellations. Seyberth is a member of several international collaborations and programmes, including the European Alliance, NEW8 and the European Writers Club.
Jarmo Lampela, Head of drama, YLE, has been in the role since 2015. His background includes working as professor of film directing and head of the department of film, television and scenography at Helsinki’s Aalto University. Since 1992, he has worked as a director, scriptwriter and producer on numerous productions for cinema, television and theatre.
