In the Canary Islands, filming has begun for "Weiss & Morales," a new procedural series starring Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Katia Fellin. The production, co-produced by RTVE, Portocabo, Nadcon, ZDF, and ZDF Studios, will conclude in August and will feature locations across the Canary Islands, with Gran Canaria as the main backdrop.

Spanish actor Silvestre and German actress Fellin lead the cast, which also includes Juanjo Puigcorbé, Mariam Hernández, Margarita Broich, Thomas Heinze, Tania Santana, Yaiza Guimaré, Saulo Trujillo, Luifer Rodríguez, and Iria Santana. Directed by Oriol Ferrer, "Weiss & Morales" is executive produced by Alfonso Blanco from Portocabo and Peter Nadermann from Nadcon. Additionally, the project boasts a Spanish and German writing team led by Nina Hernández, Carlota Dans, and Ron Markus.

The series tells the story of a crime committed in the Canary Islands, impacting the German community. This leads Spanish Civil Guard sergeant Raúl Morales (Miguel Ángel Silvestre) and German BKA agent Nina Weiss (Katia Fellin) to reluctantly collaborate. Their partnership, fraught with differences, will nonetheless find a way to solve each case that comes their way. Wolfgang Feindt is the commissioning editor at ZDF and Mar Díaz is executive producer at RTVE. ZDF Studios will handle the worldwide sales outside of Spanish-speaking territories.
