Nearly a hundred professionals make up the Audiovisual from Spain delegation that will disembark at Mipcom Cannes, the content market that takes place from October 17 to 20 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. The convention will have more than 300 exhibitors and will welcome 10.000 participants from 96 different countries, which makes it the most massive event of the year.

Audiovisual from Spain's great commitment to Mipcom Cannes 2022 materializes with a double space: to the usual stand shared by Spanish exhibitors in the Riviera 7 area (stand R7.J11), a new exclusive area is added within the Seaview Producers' Hub (Riviera 9), a new co-production forum that runs parallel to the usual market and was born with the aim of promoting the development and financing of projects through its own program of conferences and networking activities, in which Spain will play a prominent role.

As usual, Audiovisual from Spain has coordinated a series of actions throughout the week to boost the visibility of Spanish production. That is why there will be a bilateral pairing meeting with the Telefilm Canada delegation, in which Canadian and Spanish producers and distributors will be able to share projects in the financing phase or content ready for sale.

In addition, on Tuesday afternoon an opening networking cocktail will be held for the inauguration of the Seaview Producers' Hub, dedicated to promoting projects and international co-production, of which Spain will be the host. Under the title Best of Spain New Content, the latest outstanding productions that are about to hit the screens or that have recently been released will be presented to international buyers and producers.

Spanish talent will be very present in the official conference program: RTVE, represented by its Film and Fiction Director José Pastor, will be one of the public channels that will explain how they innovate in the search for the best local talent. Moreover, spokespersons from Movistar Plus+ International, Atresmedia Televisión and Zeta Studios will participate in a panel on the rise of Spanish content; and in the context of the sixth edition of the Diversify TV Awards, RTVE's Director of Digital Content, Alberto Fernández, will speak about how the values of diversity and inclusion are present in RTVE Playz's own programming and production strategy.

The sessions dedicated to large multinationals will also have a Spanish accent: Rodrigo Cabornero, Head of Content Acquisitions, will reunite with other European directors of Prime Video to talk about Amazon Studios' strategy on the continent; while Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang, co-founders of Pokeepsie Films, will share the evolution of the Banijay group into a trusted partner for scripted productions.

The exhibitors participating in Mipcom Cannes 2022 within the Audiovisual from Spain stand are: Armenteira Producciones, Ártico Distribution, Atresmedia Televisión, Filmax, Hampa Studio, Influx Animation, Mediacrest, Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, Onza Entertainment, Plano a Plano, Puro Digital and Studio, Quexito Films, Wild Stories Distribution, Zeta Studios, and Zona Mixta; as well as the public entities Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural and Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais. They are joined by more than thirty national companies registered under the Spanish umbrella.
