Mipcom 2023: Amazon MGM Studios Distribution to offer a new content slate

The film offerings include "AIR," Guy Ritchie’s "The Covenant," "Thirteen Lives," and "Samaritan," while the television offerings include "Hotel Cocaine," season one of "Bosch: Legacy," season two of "Billy the Kid," "Fargo Installment" 5, and the "Gladiators" format.

Amazon MGM Studios Distribution will offer a new slate of premium Amazon and MGM film and television titles at Mipcom 2023. Representatives of the company will be located on level 3 of the Palais booth # P3.A 1 during the event.“Since launching Amazon MGM Studios Distribution just a few short months ago, we have expanded our slate significantly," Chris Ottinger, Head, Amazon MGM Studios Distribution said. "We are proud to launch sales of more award-winning and critically acclaimed premium content, including AIR, and Bosch: Legacy, and the upcoming Hotel Cocaine at Mipcom this year."

The film offerings include "AIR," Guy Ritchie’s "The Covenant," "Thirteen Lives," and "Samaritan." Television offerings include "Hotel Cocaine," season one of "Bosch: Legacy," season two of "Billy the Kid," "Fargo Installment" 5, and the "Gladiators" format. Amazon MGM Studios Distribution oversees the licensing of Amazon Studio’s titles, as well as MGM new release and library movies and series such as film franchises "James Bond," "Rocky and Creed," and series "The Handmaid’s Tale," "Vikings," and "Fargo."

"AIR," from award-winning director Ben Affleck and starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, and Marlon Wayans, reveals the partnership between then-rookie basketball player Michael Jordan and Nike’s fledgling basketball division, which revolutionized the world of sports and contemporary culture with the Air Jordan brand. Amazon MGM Studios Distribution is also offering "Thirteen Lives," which recounts the incredible true story of the global effort to rescue a Thai boys soccer team who become trapped in the Tham Luang cave network during an unexpected rainstorm.

The film is directed by Ron Howard and stars Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, Joel Edgerton, and Tom Bateman; and Samaritan, starring Sylvester Stallone as the mysterious and reclusive Mr. Smith, who 13-year-old Sam Cleary is suspicious of, but is actually a legend hiding in plain sight. Finally, Amazon MGM Studios Distribution will offer Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, written and directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Dar Salim, which features Gyllenhaal as U.S. Army sergeant John Kinley, and Salim as Ahmed, an Afghan interpreter. After an ambush, Ahmed goes to Herculean lengths to save Kinley’s life.

New television series included in the catalog are "Hotel Cocaine," starring Danny Pino as Roman Compte, general manager of the Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous epicenter of the Miami cocaine scene of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. The series also stars Yul Vázquez, Michael Chiklis, and Mark Feuerstein. Also being offered are Bosch: Legacy Season One, starring Titus Welliver as Harry Bosch. From MGM Alternative, the "Gladiators" format will be available out of Mipcom.
