Electric Entertainment's newest original SYFY TV series “The Ark” has been sold to Sky TV in the U.K. The deal includes all Pay-TV rights, and it will be available to view on Sky Sci-Fi beginning May 25th.

Sonia Mehandjiyska, Head of International Distribution, Electric Entertainment, comments “We’re happy that Sky TV and their audience continue to find the high entertainment value of our productions. Our long-lasting partnership proves that Electric Entertainment programming is diverse, boundaryless and really speaks to our neighbors across the pond.”

“The Ark” takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.

The 12-episode series debuted in the U.S. on February 1 and was SYFY’s best series premiere among total viewers in two years. “The Ark” season one finale airs on Wednesday, April 19 on SYFY with all available episodes streaming on Peacock. “The Ark” has also been sold in Spain, France, Portugal, The Balkans, Romania, Poland, and Germany.
