Serielizados Fest, the Barcelona International Series Festival, will premiere “Beginning, Middle and End” in its 2021 edition. Now available as ready-made and as format, the show was written by Bruno Nogueira along with Filipe Melo, Nuno Markl and Salvador Martinha, and produced by SIC and Força De Produção for FTA and SIC’s OTT platform Opto.

“Beginning, Middle and End” was very successful and engaged a lot of social media awareness in Portugal. This new concept of “unscripted to scripted” format has also attracted international attention.

In the story, every week, five friends get together for dinner. But what these five friends do not know is that they are fictional characters. What they say and do is not decided by them. The first two pages of what they say during these dinners are always the same, in every episode. From then on, everything is open-ended. What the viewer will see, every week, is a different version of that same dinner. The fate of these characters is in the hands of four people, who will write what happens on this night among friends.

Then, on October 29, Bruno Nogueira will be in Madrid, attending one of the most important Iberian series festivals. The famous Portuguese author will explain the creation process of the series, giving attendees a unique opportunity to know more about this unusual narrative from the author's perspective, certainly with his unique humor touch.
