Rodolphe Belmer, President of Series Mania, and Laurence Herszberg, founder and general director, announced the guests of honor for the 2022 Lille Dialogues set for March 24. This one-day summit brings together European lawmakers and international TV industry leaders to encourage joint reflection on the challenges facing the industry and to promote international cooperation. The event, which is part of the "French Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2022", is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the CNC, and the European Commission.
“This year’s theme is ‘Empowering the Audiovisual Industry with Creativity’. Now more than ever, our goal is to promote a culture that fosters pluralism, diversity, and social cohesion” commented Herszberg.
“Creativity is the starting point for the influential stories that end up on our screens, therefore it’s an essential topic to explore in our industry. We look forward to welcoming our esteemed guests to Lille to share their ideas and expertise,” added Belmer.
PANEL DISCUSSIONS AND KEYNOTES
This 2022 the Guest Of Honor is Margrethe Vestager, European Commissioner for Competition and Executive Vice-President for a Europe fit for the Digital Age who will be in charge of the official opening speech talking about the Audiovisual Creativity and The European Union's Digital Decade.
Raffaele Annecchino, President & CEO International Networks, Studios and Streaming Paramount (USA) will deliver the keynote "The World of Paramount International Streaming"; Priya Dogra, President WarnerMedia EMEA & Asia (excl. China), WarnerMedia (United Kingdom) will talk about "Putting Local Stories at The Heart Of A Global Business" as well as Georgia Brown, Head of European Originals, Amazon Studios (United Kingdom) will be in charge of the keynote "Amazon Studios, Europe’s Next Creative Partner".
On the other hand, Jan Mojto, CEO, Beta Film will talk about "From Europe. About Europe. For Europe", in his keynote; Gilles Pélisson, CEO, TF1 Group will discuss about "Preserving Cultural Sovereignty, What Role For National Media Players?" and Nicolas de Tavernost, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO, M6 (France) will bring details about "Creativity and Consolidation, The Best of Both Worlds To Serve Cultural Sovereignty".
The panel discussions will include the following topics: "Investing In Talent: How To Drive New Narratives", with Delphine Ernotte-Cunci, CEO, France Televisions and President, EBU (France), followed by panel discussion with Mo Abudu, CEO, EbonyLife Media (Nigeria); Romain Bessi, CEO, Newen Studios (France) and Young-kyu Kim, CEO, Studio Dragon (Korea).
