On October 15–16, 2025, Feria de Valladolid will host the fifth edition of Shooting Locations Marketplace, which annually brings together producers, location scouts, destinations, and audiovisual sector service companies. Participants will have a new opportunity to create strategic contacts, explore partnerships, and discover Spain’s potential as a global filming destination.

The profile of participants in the buyers’ campaign reflects the event’s global reach: from production executives at Marvel Studios, Blumhouse, Fremantle, Legendary Entertainment, Universal Pictures, and Warner Bros Television, to executives from leading companies like Apple TV+, Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Studios. Joining them are highly prestigious independent location scouts with extensive experience in international-impact projects, making the marketplace a unique showcase where both Hollywood studios and European producers, as well as emerging talent, converge.

A key aspect of the campaign has been identifying the latest international projects and co-productions involving the invited professionals. The responses outline a high-level panorama, with titles ranging from Marvel blockbusters—"Loki Season 2", "Secret Invasion", or "Vision Quest"—to major series like "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters", "Squid Game", "And Just Like That", or "Drops of God", and feature films such as "The Odyssey". In addition, globally-reaching documentaries like CNN "Quest: World of Wonders" and filming experiences in countries as diverse as the Dominican Republic, Belize, or Southeast Asia are included. This variety demonstrates that Shooting Locations Marketplace directly connects with the heart of the audiovisual industry, bringing together location scouts and producers seeking unique settings for worldwide-scale productions.

The analysis of geographic preferences is very revealing. Almost half of the buyers (43%) prioritize Southern Europe, showing strong interest in Mediterranean destinations and the Iberian Peninsula. They are followed by Western Europe (19%), and Eastern and Central Europe (20%), confirming that the continent remains the epicenter of much international production. Additionally, 7% show a preference for Northern Europe, creating opportunities for both established and emerging destinations in the region to strengthen their positioning.

Beyond the numbers, the campaign reflects clear trends: the search for unique and untapped locations, interest in regions offering competitive tax incentives, and the growing demand for reliable technical infrastructure and local crews. Interestingly, several participants highlight their fascination with locations “off the traditional circuits,” from rural areas to disused industrial environments, expanding the range of opportunities for regions looking to open up to the audiovisual sector.

The presence of these buyers at Feria de Valladolid not only ensures the quality of B2B meetings but also turns Shooting Locations Marketplace into a true international hub, where deals are made, co-productions are launched, and the shoots of the future are designed.
