From 19 to 22 November Sovtelexport, the official distributor of Russia Television and Radio, the largest national media company, will participate in MIP Cancún, a key event dedicated to the Latin-American media industry. The company will present the expanded package of projects of different genres, dubbed in Spanish.
The flagship project of the updated catalogue is a long-awaited saga continuation about the greatest Russian Empress – grand historical drama “Ekaterina. Pretenders”. The new series portraits the most complicated period in Russian history and in the Empress’ life. Wars, plots, conspiracies. Ekaterina has to confront loss and betrayals in the political front, as well as in her love life. Her decisions will determine the fate of the throne and the empire. The two previous seasons of the show were a great commercial success, 104 countries have acquired rights for the show and it has been translated into 20 languages.
The MIP Cancun line-up also includes gorgeous costume dramas “Godunov”, “Anna Karenina”,”Sophia”, ”Ekaterina”, “Ekaterina. Season 2”, melodrama “Russian Beauty”, features “Iron Ivan”, “the Spy”, “Ivan Son of Amir, the Soul of a Spy”, “Kandahar” and a selection of documentaries on various topics.
Sovtelexport also develops the distribution of animation projects. For the first time at the Latin-American market, the company will present an animated series dubbed in Spanish called “Mountain of Gems and Piglet”.
At MIP Cancun, clients can meet Sovtelexport at desk 146. The company has attended the Cancun market before and is planning to expand contacts, offer new projects to its partners and strengthen its position in the region.
