THE WINNING PROJECT
"The Truth and Other Blindspots" is a female driven psychological thriller series, exploring boundaries and consent in sexual relations. The series aims to question: if you consent to violence, is it still violence? Does letting another person die make you a murderer? Do facts always lead you to the truth? Unresolved traumas of a successful career woman, Pelin (40s) and an introverted surveillance officer Magda (30s) collide as a young male escort goes missing.

TOP RATED NEM PITCHES
Among this year’s finalists are a couple of last year’s competitors. One of them is Daria Stilin from Croatia, last year’s winner that brought another great project to the competition, a science-fiction drama TV show "The Splitting". One more excellent project comes from the author and writer Agnė Šerpytytė from Lithuania who was last year’s finalist as well. This year, she applied with the dramedy "Marketing Girls" on which she worked on with the writer Luise Trauman from Germany.

Two more projects come from Croatian authors, a TV show described as a paranormal drama by the author Veno Mušinović "Tomorrow never comes" and a dramedy "The Odds" by the screenwriter Matej Sudarić.

NEM’s top six finalists will be able to participate in NEM Dubrovnik 2021 live event where they will have a chance to conduct meetings with potential partners, buyers and/or investors from the industry. The next NEM Dubrovnik market will take place from June 7th to 10th 2021 with a completely outdoor program at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace.
