Animotion Media Group has firmly positioned itself as a creator of edutainment animation — content that merges engaging storytelling with educational value. With a growing portfolio of internationally beloved titles, the company has found success in both launching fresh IPs and expanding long-standing franchises that resonate with children and families worldwide.
One of the newest highlights in Animotion’s catalog is “Shooting Stars”, a vibrant and action-packed animated series in development designed for girls aged 8–12. Blending sports, sci-fi, and comedy, the show follows a group of girls who gain superpowers after a mysterious meteor crash into their football pitch. But the real story lies beneath the surface — the monsters they face are metaphors for real-life adolescent struggles: school pressure and friendship dilemmas. “It’s a project about football, monsters, friendship, and superpowers,” explains Julia Nikolaeva, General Manager at Animotion. “But the monsters represent internal conflicts — all the things that teenage girls wrestle with. It’s energetic, funny, and emotionally relevant.”
Meanwhile, the company continues to build on its flagship properties. “The Fixies”, an internationally recognized franchise translated into over 30 languages, is currently in production of a new season. The property continues to enjoy strong TV, digital presence and global appeal. Another major project, “Detective Finnick”, has also reached an important milestone: 52 episodes are completed and ready for delivery. The company is actively seeking new distributors and partners to bring the series to new territories.
Animotion's library also includes “Beardy Bodo”, a humorous edutainment show about a well-meaning but clueless character who tries to teach everything — despite knowing very little. The project stands out for its interactive and digital-forward nature. In the preschool segment, titles like “Dino City” and “Tina & Tony” continue to charm young viewers. The latter is now in production on its fifth season and is especially popular in China, where it has built a devoted fanbase.
“Baby Riki”, another cornerstone of the company’s preschool offerings, is often considered a child’s very first introduction to educational content. Early seasons cover foundational concepts like shapes, colors, and visiting the doctor, while newer episodes explore socialization and emotional intelligence. “We’re now talking about EQ — helping children understand emotions and relationships,” Nikolaeva explains. The interactive show “Question Club” takes a different approach, responding to kids’ endless curiosity by dramatizing their most imaginative questions and exploring the science behind them.
Altogether, Animotion Media Group offers a rich animation catalog totaling around 200 hours of content, with approximately 130 hours dubbed into English and ready for delivery. “We’re in a great position to offer distributors both fresh, original IPs and well-established, globally tested brands,” notes Nikolaeva.
A vital part of Animotion’s strategy is leveraging social media to build brand awareness and audience loyalty. Platforms like YouTube and TikTok have been key to the expansion of franchises such as “The Fixies”, which remains the company’s most successful brand. “We have dedicated TikTok channels in English and Arabic and recently launched an Arabic-language YouTube channel, which is doing incredibly well — around 17 million views in just six months,” says Nikolaeva.
The company has also launched a “Question Club” TikTok account where users can ask their own questions and get an AI-generated episode and has also begun releasing “Baby Riki” and “The Fixies” music albums promoted across YouTube and TikTok, extending the reach of its properties and offering children even more ways to engage with the characters they love.
By staying rooted in strong storytelling and emotional relevance, while also embracing global trends and digital innovation, Animotion Media Group continues to grow its influence as a trusted source of meaningful and entertaining children’s animation.
