Canadian production and distribution company Incendo started Spring season focusing on it slate of TV movies available worldwide such as “Destination love,” “Written in the Stars,” “Love and Penguins,” “Be mine, Valentine” and “Together forever Tea”. "People are interested again in light, fun family and co viewing content and the romcoms that we have definitely fit that", indicated Gavin Reardon, Incendo's International Sales & Co-Production executive to Señal News.

Incendo is also developing series content. "We are in conversations with co-producers and working with broadcasters in Europe to develop content that we can then distribute around the world," he added. One example of this new Incendo initiative is the series “A monster inside” that they've been developing with Film UA and Echo rights. "We were hoping that we would be filming this year in Ukraine," said Reardon explaining how the current war in Ukraine has affected the business.

NEW CHALLENGES
The audiovisual industry is going through multiple challenges, it has changed the type of content that people are looking for, and the quantity that they're interested in. "There's a lot more competition, you have the rise of both AVOD and FAST channels that are really changing the landscape", appointed the Incendo executive.

On the other hand, Incendo has been going through a transition. Cynthia Kennedy has recently joined the company as VP of distribution, so there's going to be a more coordinated distribution efforts in the company. The company is also opening up to new different types of content. "We're producing a genre film that we have never done before, is a remake of the classic horror film. It's going to be interesting, not only obviously, for the company in terms of its profile, but also internationally in terms of sales, so we're excited about that," he anticipated.
