The VSI Group has announced that all the facilities throughout the EMEA region have now resumed in-studio recordings, including all seven of our locations in the FIGS territories.
"We have welcomed back staff at 22 of our global facilities and for our operations in LA and Buenos Aires, where government-mandated lockdowns are still in place, our teams continue to record remotely," asserted from the company.
With the expert guidance of health professionals and industry experts, strict safety precautions have been introduced at each location to establish a secure working environment for both staff and talent attending our facilities. These include:
· Social distancing with two-meter floor markers and a one in, one out a policy for smaller areas
· Medical-grade masks and gloves
· Disposable microphone and headphone covers that are replaced after each session, with all surfaces thoroughly cleaned before the next talent arrives
· Security screens in reception areas and in studios, where appropriate
· Hand sanitizer available throughout the premises
"With our studio staff now working on-site, recordings of our voice-over and dubbing projects are once again centralized in-house. Remote recording continues to supplement our activities in the short term and help in cases where talent is unable to attend studio sessions," explained the company.
To accommodate a sharp increase in demand for dubbing, and to catch up on projects put on hold by clients during the lockdown, VSI Studios are generally working at least two shifts daily, six or seven days per week.
While home-recording is no match for recording in a professional studio environment with a full team, the company has been accelerated the development of the proprietary remote recording tool, which includes certain industry-leading features. Further details to be announced in due course.
"At some of our global facilities, teams specializing in subtitling, translation, adaptation, transcreation and other creative services are once again working in-house, while most others continue to perform their roles remotely," added the Group. "The health and well-being of our employees remain our primary concern, together with supporting our clients by providing uninterrupted full service," they affirmed.
