A boom time for the Latin American subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) market could be just around the corner, with the number of customers set to more than double between the end of 2019 and 2025 to 100.35 million, according to Digital TV Research.
The pirate network was offering more than 40,000 video channels and video-on-demand content, offering a wide range of channels, sports events, films, documentaries, and series, as well as 50 pirate servers located in various countries in Europe.
Global subscriptions and video-on-demand customers are expected to increase to 1.61 billion between 2019 and 2025, an 81% increase in 2020 alone. Five global platforms will have 640 million paying SVoD subscribers by 2025.
The long-term renewal agreement includes all of Fox's channels, as well as video-on-demand, Comcast's transmission of Fox stations and TV rights for networks everywhere, all of which have dynamic advertising insertion capability. Comcast remains the largest Pay-TV and broadband provider with 21.25 million video subscribers.
Comcast reported a 4 to 64 hour per week increase in linear video consumption and a 38% increase in streaming and web video consumption during the pandemic. AT&T's live viewing is up by 15% and video-on-demand by almost 25%. Moody's noted an overall 60% increase in content consumption.
