Banijay Rights, Mediacorp and Motion Content Group announced the return of one of the world’s most successful competitive cooking reality television formats, “MasterChef,” to Singapore.
Ahead of its premiere on Channel 7 and 7plus in Australia, the title has been acquired by Channel 4 for More 4 in the UK; PBS in the United States; TV4 in Sweden; SBS in Belgium; Talpa in the Netherlands; and TVNZ in New Zealand.
Chinese production company Long Qing Media has been commissioned to produce a first run of the show for Shenzhen TV, in a deal brokered by Huo Yuan Media.
The revised team follows the recent promotion of Claire Jago to EVP, EMEA Sales and Sales and Acquisitions, a role that sees her take responsibly for all Banijay Rights sales activity in the region.
Produced by Endemol Shine Israel for Israeli broadcaster Yes TV, the Hebrew-language dramedy tells the story of 49-year-old widowed screenwriter Alona Nachmias.
