The streamer has commissioned more Indian titles in Q1 2021 than in the whole of either 2019 or 2020, in a push to attract more subscribers in the country, Ampere Analysis mentioned in its latest report.
The distribution deal covers theatrical releases set between 2022-2026. The titles will first be released in theaters, then available for rental or purchase and lastly on streaming services, starting with Netflix and ending with Disney and Hulu.
With an average of more than 1 million viewers each episode, the show’s first series scored a solid 17.6% market share in the key demo (25-54), beating RTL4’s slot average with +32%.
The latest member of the well-known The Chase Family averaged 4.1 million viewers and a 21% market share on ITV, winning a top broadcasting time slot six out of seven nights.
