Keshet Studios, the US studio of Keshet International, has pre-emptively acquired the television rights to develop Katelyn Monroe Howes’ debut novel, “The Awoken,” as a returning drama for the US market.
Working alongside Keshet Studios’ President Peter Traugott and his team of executives, Roos’ focus will be on developing original IP to bolster Keshet Studios’ burgeoning slate of limited and returning series.
The Keshet Studios and Universal Television production's debut follows its pilot airing garnered 19.8 million viewers. Other titles that stemmed through the production collaboration include "The Missing" and "Echo 3."
Already in casting, the eight-episode crime drama will be executive produced by Kelley and his producing partner Matthew Tinker, alongside Keshet Studios’ Peter Traugott, KI’s Alon Shrutzman, Keshet Media Group’s Avi Nir, Keshet Broadcasting’s Karni Ziv and author Dror A Mishani.
