BBC Studios names Arran Tindall SVP of Key Markets for EMEA

Relying on the two decades of experience previously garnered at ViacomCBS, the executive will oversee all revenue and profit margins of  Africa, Benelux, Nordics, Poland and CEE operations, and further develop the company's commercial and delivery strategy.

BBC Studios has announced the appointment of Arran Tindall as SVP Key Markets, EMEA. “This is a vital role for the EMEA business as we look to maximize value from our branded services and grow our major customer relationships in the region across all our lines of business," Nick Percy, EVP EMEA at BBC Studios said. "I have no doubt that Arran’s experience and insights into the EMEA market will enable us to unlock new business opportunities and achieve our growth ambitions.”

The London-based executive will be tasked with overseeing revenue and profit figures across Africa, Benelux, Nordics, Poland and CEE. He will also lead the company's commercial strategy and delivery of best value and commercial returns from from its catalog of services and sales opportunities. With over twenty years of experience garnered at ViacomCBS as Chief Commercial Officer of the company, Tindall has accumulated vast knowledge surrounding all aspects of distribution, content sales, advertising and digital. Prior to overseeing Viacom and Channel 5, and leading growth plans for DTC products, the media expert spent eight years as SVP Commercial and Content Distribution leading business development and channel, product and content distribution in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America, working with clients such as Amazon, Apple and Netflix.

Tindall's appointment within the company follows the completion of an EMEA commercial leadership team consisting of Salim Mukaddam, SVP Content Sales Markets, tasked with strengthening the value of the content distribution business in France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Spain. The team also includes Natasha Hussain, SVP MENA tasked with identifying ppportunities for growth across all lines of business for Turkey, the Middle East, Israel, and North Africa region; and Cecilia Beacon, SVP Programming and Marketing, accountable for editorial and marketing decisions across BBC Studios’ branded services footprint in EMEA.  “I’m thrilled to be joining BBC Studios at such an exciting time for the content and distribution ecosystem," Arran said.
