ABC features new "Great Southern Landscapes" and "Stuff The British Stole" premium series

“Great Southern Landscapes had the support of Screen Australia, while Stuff The British Stole is a co-production with CBC. Both series will be airing on ABC TV and ABC iview later this year.

ABC and Screen Australia have announced the commission of the new ABC art prime-time series "Great Southern Landscapes" (6x30mins), staring by art lover Rachel Griffiths. This time, Rachel trades famous Australian portraits for iconic landscapes in an entertaining fusion of art, social history, and travel. The series will come to ABC TV and ABC iview later in 2022. Rachel Griffiths, said: “I'll be taking ABC’s viewers on a fun, factual, at times surprising and very visual adventure from our beaches to our rivers, across our plains and lakes, up our mountains and down our valleys looking for the very spot where some of our most iconic paintings were made."

STUFF THE BRITISH STOLE
Journalist Marc Fennell ("Mastermind"), will host "Stuff The British Stole", a new six-part series based on his acclaimed, award-winning ABC Podcast. The series begins filming this month and will air on ABC TV and ABC iview later this year and on CBC and CBC Gem in 2023.



This series of history-mysteries will be a wild, entertaining and visually stunning story of some of the most remarkable treasures acquired through the years of the British Empire and is set to air late this year. An Australia-Canada co-production, "Stuff the British Stole" is co-produced by Wooden Horse, WildBear Entertainment and Cream Productions (Canada) for the ABC and the CBC. Principal production funding from Screen Australia. Financed with support from the Canada Media Fund, Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, Ontario Creates, and Content Mint. Fremantle Media will distribute the series world-wide.
