BBC Factual has approved and unveiled the recent Outline Productions for BBC Two and iPlayer, "Andi Oliver's A Taste of Home."  “We are hugely excited about this treat of a show for BBC Two and iPlayer,” Patrick McMahon, Commissioning Editor, said. “With her passion for people, travel and good food, we couldn’t ask for a better guide than Andi, and I look forward to seeing what delights the people of Glasgow cook up for Christmas.”

The 60-minute film is produced for BBC Two and iPlayer and commissioned by Patrick Holland, Director, Factual, Arts and Classical Music Television and Catherine Catton, Head of Commissioning, Popular Factual and Factual Entertainment. Laura Mansfield and Helen Veale, and the Commissioning Editor is Patrick McMahon, serve as executive producers.

The working title shows the chef travel to Glasgow to spend time with three very different households across the city. There she accompanies them to their favorite neighbourhood food suppliers where they choose their ingredients, before cooking up a range of fantastic dishes to celebrate festive family get-togethers that reflect Glasgow’s vibrant diversity.  “In this show I’ll also have the joy of being with knowledgeable locals preparing feasts for their friends and families to really give me insight into how a city changes and thrives based on its food culture. Heaven,” Oliver said.

Outline Productions’ recent series commissions include "Remarkable Places To Eat" for BBC2, Sarah Beeny’s "New Life in the Country" for Channel 4, Michel Roux Jr.’s "Simple French Country Cooking" for the Food Network and Sarah Beeny’s Renovate Don’t Relocate for HGTV. The company is currently in production on a number of series for UK and international broadcasters and platforms.“We are thrilled to be working once more with Andi and the BBC to create a mouth-watering Christmas treat for viewers," Helen Veale, Creative Director, Outline Productions said. "Glasgow is the perfect location for Andi Oliver’s A Taste of Home with its fantastic tradition of hospitality and the rich mix of cultures across the city.”
