Blink49 Studios names Pancho Mansfield as President, Global Scripted TV

In this role, Mansfield will report directly to CEO John Morayniss and lead the studio’s worldwide scripted programming initiatives, overseeing the development and production of original content across global markets.

Blink49 Studios, a company backed by Fifth Season, announced the appointment of esteemed television producer and executive Pancho Mansfield as President of Global Scripted Television. In this role, Mansfield will report directly to CEO John Morayniss and lead the studio’s worldwide scripted programming initiatives, overseeing the development and production of original content across global markets.

Since joining Blink49 Studios in July under a multi-year first-look executive producer deal, Mansfield has worked closely with Carolyn Newman, Executive Vice President of Global Scripted Television. Their collaboration includes developing several new projects, notably a problem-solving procedural with writer and producer Andrew Miller ("Percy Jackson and the Olympians").

Meanwhile, Pancho Mansfield spoke about the strategic opportunity ahead: "I’m excited to expand my role at Blink49 and continue our journey in bringing ambitious, high-quality scripted content to audiences worldwide. Before joining Blink49 Studios, Mansfield served as President of Global Scripted Programming, Television for Entertainment One (eOne). In this role, he oversaw all aspects of the studio’s original scripted slate on a global scale and managed development and production efforts across eOne’s territories. During his tenure, notable shows produced include the adaptation of Amor Towles's bestselling novel "A Gentleman in Moscow" starring Ewan McGregor (Showtime/Paramount Plus), the Emmy-nominated survival drama "Yellowjackets" (Showtime), the Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning psychological thriller Sharp Objects (HBO), the long-running hit series "The Rookie" and its spinoff "The Rookie: Feds (ABC)", Freeform’s most popular show ever "Cruel Summer" (Freeform/Hulu), the spy adventure series "The Recruit" starring Noah Centineo (Netflix), Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Vicky Jones’s romantic thriller series "Run" (HBO), and the procedural drama Deputy starring Stephen Dorff (FOX), among others.

Previously, Mansfield headed his own shingle under a first-look deal with Fox TV Studios, where he developed and produced projects across multiple networks, including "Queen of the South and Damien". Earlier in his career, Mansfield served as EVP of Spike TV, SVP of Programming at Fox TV Studios, and SVP of Original Programming at Showtime Networks. During this 20-year period, he was involved in the development of shows such as the popular serial drama Queer as Folk, the Emmy-nominated Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City, the Humanitas-winning and Emmy-nominated Hiroshima, the groundbreaking Latino series Resurrection Blvd., Stargate SG-1, and The Outer Limits, among others.

Born to an adventurous Cuban mother and a Red Sox-loving father, Pancho was raised overseas in Libya, Ethiopia, Malta, Switzerland, and finished high school in Puerto Rico. He attended NYU Film School.
