Legend Media has secured a new package deal with Banijay Rights.“We are pleased to finalise our first deal with Legend Media and hope this is the start of a long and successful partnership. China is an important territory for us, and we are happy to see so much interest in our factual content. Banijay’s vast catalogue means we can offer relevant content and work with nearly all our clients in a large market like China,” Rashmi Bajpai, EVP, Asia, Banijay Rights said.

Under the new agreement, Legend Media will distribute five Banijay Rights titles exclusively across China, including award-winning factual series "Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty" and "The Supervet: Noel Fitzpatrick Specials," one of the top performing shows for Channel 4 in the UK. Banijay Rights will oversee the international distribution for both series.

“Our friendship with Banijay Rights extends over several years but this is our first factual package deal with the team.” says Patrick Peng, Co-Founder, Legend Media. “These titles are diverse, wide-ranging and have a global perspective and we a pleased to share them with a Chinese audience."

"Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty" from Oxford Scientific Films, continues the compelling saga of the heartstring-tugging, dramatic tale of survival revolving around three families of meerkats who are descendants of the legendary meerkat matriarch, Flower.  "The Supervet: Noel Fitzpatrick" Specials follows the passionate orthopaedic neurosurgeon Professor Noel Fitzpatrick as he leads a team of over 200 vets, nurses, and physiotherapists to provide hope, often against all the odds, for animals who are inseparable members of their families. The series was produced by Blast! Films for Channel 4 in the UK.
