Animaccord keeps expanding the global phenomenon of "Masha and the Bear"

The popular animated show from Russian studio Animaccord reached 100 billion views worldwide on YouTube last year, and the growth perspectives for this year are very huge.

Russian studio Animaccord wrapped up the 2021 with great achievements in Americas and globally. It's flagship series "Masha and the Bear" allowed to the company conquered new markets, as example Japan, and it had an excellent performance in the digital world. The first "Masha and the Bear" Japanese TV premiere was held in April on Kids Station to commercial success. In October, TV Tokyo followed suit by broadcasting the show on its Kinder TV kids’ network. Animaccord also closed a licensing deal with Kodansha Ltd, that has brought branded "Masha and the Bear" picture books.

Another notable achievement was on YouTube: "Masha and the Bear" reached another milestone by hitting 100 billion views worldwide on the platform. To celebrate this milestone, the Animaccord Studio team created a brand-new special episode titled "We love you to 100 Billion and back" to express their appreciation to all their viewers all over the world. The fastest-growing Arabic channel brought the cartoon their sixth Diamond Play Button, in addition to previously honoured English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian channels. Moreover, the "Masha and the Bear" English YouTube channel repeated its success of 2020. In less than a year, it has gained another 10 000 000 subscribers and has over 30 000 000 subscribers. The brand has also exceeded the breakthrough of 1 million years of watch time and accounts for 1,000 YouTube views per second.



MOST DEMANDED SHOW
In the Americas, "Masha and the Bear" holds a firm position. The cartoon ranks among the TOP-5 most in-demand kids show in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and other more LATAM countries, according to Parrot Analytics. Televisa and  SBT Brazilian leading TV channel for children premiered the new "Masha and the Bear" Season 5, produced in 4K (UHD). Both platforms, who are Animaccord’s long-term partners, with over 5 years of fruitful cooperation, also prolonged rights for existing content that has been previously aired on the channels.

In the consumer products market, Animaccord has powerful partnerships with more than 70 licensees, specifically in the Americas. The Russian studio, together with Crocs, released the iconic "Masha and the Bear" Clogs in the US. Meanwhile, tonies® has added "Masha and the Bear" to its extensive family of children’s audio stories and content on the tonie's platform.

SPECIAL PROJECTS AND EVENTS
"Masha and the Bear", one of the most popular and favorite brands in Chile, was presented at Paris Parade, the largest Christmas parade in South America. From November 25th to 28th, the procession of various inflatable giants travelled through Chile. In Mexico, "Masha and the Bear" took part in the annual Bolofest Liverpool festival, organized by Liverpool, the largest department store chain in the country. Participation of the popular duo in a special animated video within the virtual Christmas parade was supported by Spin Masterand will be live from December to January. Bolofest will be broadcasted by major platforms including Televisa, Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids, Disney Channel and has already gained over 40 million reaches.

In terms of special projects and events, Animaccord has secured a deal with Brazilian water park ‘Thermas Hot World Parque Aquático. The Park is situated in Àguas de Lindóia in São Paulo and will place a branded “Masha and the Bear” pop-up outdoor area in 2022. Along with in-park branding, the deal covers several branded hotel rooms located in the park hotel. The partnership will be supported by a massive media campaign and Masha’s area will be featured in the main park’s commercial, which will be extensively broadcasted on major TV stations, in addition to outdoor ads.
