ITV StudiosArmoza Formats announced two new commissions for the scripted comedy “La Famiglia,” which has been licensed in two new territories. The local rights to the format have been acquired in Russia by CTC and in Greece by Antenna 1. “Antenna is very keen to include ‘La Famiglia’ in our schedule,” George Pofantis, Chief Content Officer of Antenna Greece said. “It is a comedy that touches on real, everyday subjects and we are certain that it will appeal to the Greek audience. It is a great addition to our comedy schedule.”

The 4 30-minute shows were developed and produced by United Studios of Israel and created by Ran Dovrat, Avi Belkin, and Ohad Perach. “While we can’t currently travel, our formats are still traveling all over the world and what’s better these days than a hilarious family comedy that everyone can relate to, no matter the country,” Salome Peillon, Senior Sales Director of Western and Southern Europe, CEE, CIS & French-Speaking Canada at Armoza Formats, said. “Following the success of the format in Israel, India, and Cyprus, we look forward to seeing these new adaptations of ‘La Famiglia’ in Russia and Greece.”

The original Israeli series has aired three successful seasons on Channel 10 and Reshet 13. Its second season of the Cypriot adaptation recently aired on Alpha TV, and a third season has already been commissioned. “Mind the Malhotras,” the adaptation of the format in India, began streaming on Amazon Prime Video in 2019.

"La Famiglia" follows the lives of a perfectly normal suburban family living in the divorce capital of the country, and attending therapy. Their therapy sessions provide the entertaining basis for the series, through which we flashback to the comical, stand-alone scenes from their daily life. Each episode consists of a new therapy session.
