Banijay Nordic 's Jarowskij to produce "Climate Bootcamp"

The six-part sustainability-related entertainment title is set to broadcast on SVT and UR. The film forms part of the company's growing slate of eco-format projects.

Banijay confirmed Banijay Nordic's Jarowskij's commitment to produce "Climate Bootcamp" for broadcast on SVT and UR. “Protecting our planet for future generations is incredibly important to us and in the midst of the Cop26 conversation, the world’s attention is on the climate emergency,"  Iréne Lindblad, CEO at Jarowskij said. "The amazing talent associated with Climate Bootcamp highlight the small changes the individual can make and is just one example of the importance Banijay and its labels are placing on positive change.”

The six-part series will follow a group of celebrities considered inconsiderate toward climate conditions as they endure a bootcamp that forces them to track their efforts to matain a proper climate ratio.“Climate Bootcamp is part of our commitment to educating and inspiring Swedish audiences of all ages to be more sustainable – from young children wanting to learn about nature and how to take care of our planet, to grown-ups struggling with anxiety around climate change." Margretha Eriksson, Program Director, UR Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company, said. "Our belief and ambition is that this show will give the audience the knowledge, support and hope they need to start to change their everyday life for the better.”

Jarowskij’s Climate Bootcamp is the latest eco-format emerging from the Banijay catalog. The 2020 premier of Mastiff Denmark’s documentary, "Wild Wonderful Denmark," showcased the regions flora and fauna, from its forests to urban nature. And, the recent launch of RDF Television’s, "Shop Well for the Planet?" for BBC One, sees legacy brands Shop Well for Less? and Eat Well for Less? combine to help people live an affordable, greener lifestyle.
