Banijay Rights secures deal for "Younger" adaptation in Ukraine

Noviy has commissioned Art Forms Productions to produce the 24-episode season to debut in 2022. Banijay will be tasked with distributing the title internationally.

Banijay Rights has taken on a new adaptation for Darren Star's US series "Younger," in Ukraine. Noviy has commissioned Art Forms Productions to produce a 24-episode season to premiere early next year. The deal was negotiated by Alexander Rubanov, VP Russia, CIS, Ukraine, Georgia, Baltics and Turkey, Banijay Rights.

The commission follows recent adaptations of Younger in China and South Korea, in deals struck by Banijay Rights. Produced by TV Land, the title is created, executive produced and written by Darren Star, with Tony Hernandez of JAX Media executive producing. Dottie Zicklin, Eric Zicklin and Alison Brown also serve as executive producers and writers on the series. Banijay Rights distributes the series outside of the US. “Throughout its successful run in the US, Younger has built up a strong audience base with stunning characters and universal themes," Claire Jago, EVP Sales and Acquisitions, Banijay Rights, said.
