Banijay confirmed that Endemol Shine Poland (part of Banijay Germany) will produce the entertainment format "Drag Me Out" for the Polish network TVN. In this way, it will become the third adaptation of the Mastiff TV Denmark-created format, and it will air in an evening prime-time slot in spring.
The series dives into the world of drag, featuring six bold personalities from the showbiz scene who undergo a transformative experience to discover their inner queens. Under the guidance of mentors – esteemed stars of the Polish drag scene – and a discerning jury, contestants will compete in a series of challenges.
Lidia Kazen, Director of TVN, commented: "We are introducing a program that opens the door to the spectacular world of drag culture. A world that is a form of art: expressive, colorful, and inclusive. We want to bring the drag queen phenomenon closer to our viewers and consolidate TVN's position as a progressive station. Behind each costume, there is a moving story, and 'Drag Me Out' forms a key part of our spring schedule," she outlined.
Małgorzata Perkowska-Czaja, Managing Director of Endemol Shine Polska, praised the format: "From our extensive Banijay catalog, we always try to identify and propose formats that will be unique and distinctive in the market. This is what 'Drag Me Out' is: a combination of emotional stories, amazing metamorphoses, and unforgettable and, above all, brave stage performances that we haven't seen on TV before!" she highlighted.
Let's remember that Endemol Shine Poland has over 20 years experience producing shows including local adaptations of brands: "Don't Forget The Lyrics," "MasterChef," "LEGO Masters," "All Together Now," "You Can Dance," "New Generation," "Money Drop#," and "Big Brother" amongst others.
